Came by for dinner. Service was pleasant, ambiance was relaxed casual and the food was gratifying. Our highlights were the fried eggplant and fried rice. Certainly a repeat type of establishment.

Very first time here for my dad's 70th birthday and was super impressed by the food. We had a private room that was ready just in time for our reservation. We ordered a bunch of dishes and I feel like this has been the most authentic chinese restaurants I have been to since living in the US. The place is pretty nice. But patking can be a bit of a challenge. We had Egg Drop Soup, Stemed Fish, Chow Mien, Crisoy Duck, Fried Lobster, Bok Choy, Beef and Tofu dish (forgot the name), Sea Urchin? At least i thibk it was. Everything was very tasty and seasoned well! I feel like the timing of the dishes coming out was a bit on the slow side but hey almost every table finished the food. Definitely coming back for more! Happy eating!

If you haven't been to Chef Ping yet, you're missing out on the best Chinese food in the suburbs. This place serves dishes so delicious, you'll wonder how you ever lived without them. The Chef Ping noodle platter is an absolute must-try, with its perfect blend of flavors and textures. The Mongolian beef is tender and bursting with flavor, while the mo-shu pork is so good you'll be asking for seconds. The Szechuan eggplant as well as the Szechuan green beans are a crispy, savory delight that will make your palate do a happy dance. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, and the service is always friendly and efficient. Chef Ping is the kind of place that turns a casual meal into something special. If you're in Rolling Meadows, do yourself a favor and give it a try. Your taste buds will be forever grateful.

We came by for dinner on a Saturday night. There were 6 of us, we had called ahead to try to make a reservation but they told us that the tables were first come first serve. We came by around 5pm and were quoted 45 minutes for our table. And we decided to wait, hoping that it may be shorter but it truly was the full 45 minutes. Once seated it took about 5 minutes for someone to over to us to bring us waters. But after that we were ready to order so we put everything in at once and told them to bring it out as it is ready because we were READY to eat. Surprisingly all of the food came out quickly. We started with the crab shu Mai after being recommended it, unfortunately it was not a fave at our table. We also got the jelly fish salad, and the juicy wings. The wings were super flavorful and crispy, while the jelly fish salad wasn't my cup of tea, my parents said it reminded them of their childhood and they loved it. For our entrees we got the salt and pepper Japanese tofu, walnut shrimp, Mongolian beef, pineapple fried rice, canton flat noodles and a few other dishes. We loved all of them. The only thing we wish was that the fried rice, was more fried. It tasted like fresh rice with all of the ingredients rather than a true fried rice. But all of our dishes were fresh, not salty, not sweet and the portions were great for sharing and for the price. I wish we got to see a drink menu, we would've ordered some but I did get told they don't have fruit smoothies either. All in all, we had a great experience. But I think I will result to ordering carry out in the future rather than waiting for dine in.

Chef Ping is my go-to for delicious Asian food. I've been going here for years, and this place has been very consistent in service and food quality. Food: The menu is quite extensive with a variety of Chinese, Korean, and other Asian cuisine. The food is always fresh and taste very good. My family and I regularly order the following: Szechuan Beef (comes with rice), Ping's Noodle Platter, and Walnut Shrimp (our favorites). I've recently tried the Mango Chicken (comes with rice), which was pretty good. The portions are a good size, especially for sharing amongst 4 to 5 people. Even with 4 to 5 people sharing, we couldn't finish every dish, so there was a good amount to take home for leftovers. Service: Everyone is friendly and and the waiters/waitresses serve the food fairly quickly (depends on what dishes you order as they make it fresh). They are attentive when it comes to refilling water or tea, and if you need other utensils like chopsticks (they give you forks by default). Price: While it may seem a bit high, I say it's fair given the portions and ingredients in each dish. Seafood dishes are high, of course, but dishes like Walnut Shrimp are reasonable. In that dish, they give you good-sized shrimp pieces and a decent amount of it. Ambiance: it's a decent sized place with a simple modern, dark look. They have a room for bigger parties in the back of the restaurant, and spacing between tables and booths are a little close to one another, but manageable even when it's busy. Chef Ping is definitely worth going to for some delicious Asian cuisine. It can get really busy when it opens (around 11 am/1130am) and around prime time dinner time (6pm-7pm), so I recommend going an hour or 2 after each time period. Although on weekends they can get busy even after an hour or 2 of opening or dinner time.

King mushroom with tofu was a surprise hit! Sauted peapod was amazing. The gan pong family menu is killer, as is the jampong (spicy seafood noodle soup). We usually come here for family birthdays and celebrations, arriving early to beat the line and get a big table for all the delicious food!

I've lived in Arlington Heights for 25 years and have been going to another Chinese restaurant the whole time, but I met a friend at Chef Ping for lunch today. Let me set the stage--it was a Tuesday around lunch time, and the place was packed! Service was good. Now for the food... I ordered kung pao chicken, and it was delicious! The rice was really good. The veggies were fresh and tasty. I asked for a milder sauce and it was perfect. I think I found my new favorite Chinese restaurant : ) Highly recommended!

We came here close to 8 pm. You'll find parking in the front, side, and back of the restaurant. We only had to wait a min before they seated us. Service was superb throughout dinner. Our server put in our orders immediately. It took 10 mins to get all of our orders. We ordered walnut shrimp, crispy fried intestine, Ping's chicken wing, and 8 treasure. I'm going to tell you right off the bat, that portions were never reduced. They still make large portions enough to take home. I know one or two people said they think the restaurant reduced the portions but they're wrong. Remember folks, don't listen to anyone with less than 8 reviews. I would encourage everyone that reads this, to try out dishes they normally don't eat. Get away from all of the typical Americanized Chinese dishes like Mongolian beef, sesame chicken, kung pao something, etc. -Walnut shrimp 5/5 - shrimp is of substantial size, I was surprised to see how large they are. They were beautifully cooked and well sauced. -Crispy fried intestine 5/5 - very tender, moist, and full of flavor. You want to take a piece, lightly dip it in the salt, and eat it with white rice. That way, if it gets too salty, the white rice will help lessen that saltiness. -Ping's chicken wing 5/5 - skin was very crispy. I love hearing that light crunch when you bite into it. Good amount of sauce for flavor. It wasn't spicy. -8 treasure 5/5 - this one has sea cucumber which is pretty expensive if you look further on the menu. You get 8 different ingredients in here. They do have some peppers, I would avoid them if you don't want your mouth on fire.
